# Each one of us need and feel the necessity of peace, but we search peace by finding faults with others ...

Thought that engaged me today

February 11, 2011

"If we need peace in life let us not find fault with others, we need to identify our own pitfalls first.  If we cut own on our heavy baggage of ego and self interest a bit, it would not be  difficult to realise the vastness within us and find joy in life." – Sharada Devi (The Speaking Tree, Times of India, February 11, 2011)

  1. Each one of us need and feel the necessity of peace, but we search peace by finding faults with others .... by keeping constantly to think that we are right always.... by ignoring our own mistakes.
  2. We need to realise the vastness within us. This is diffucult because we dont cut down on our heavy baggage of ego and self interest.
  3. If we have to find peace in life we need to stop finding mistakes in others and discover the vastness within us. We should know that the real self is vast and boundless and endless... and we are totally inter connected. We can see others in our own self and its nature.... we can find our own self in others ... this is possible broadening our horizon by becoming tolerant of the deficiencies of others as we pardon ourselves endlessly.  This is the secret of being happy and making others around us happy.
